Madeon decided to take 2014 to work on a bunch of tunes for his upcoming debut LP. To tithe his fans over until they could get their hands on something new from the 19 year old Frenchman, Pierre has dropped his previously unreleased track "Cut The Kid" for free download

David Guetta "Shot Me Down" (feat. Skylar Grey)
David Guetta must be feeling the squeeze now. Now that generic dance music has been more or less put to the side in the mainstream, the DJ superstar has to find another way to get his coins when he isn't at these big music festivals.

Daft Punk "Instant Crush" Music Video
It's looking like that one of my two favourite songs from Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories" is getting the single treatment!!! The Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas contributes vocals to the song. Story: a wax figure that looks like a French soldier (who looks a lot like Casablancas) falls in love with a colonial period wax figure in a wax museum. Yup, that's pretty much the plot. There are also shots of Julian performing on a circular platform, looking very menacing at some parts. Now all I need is a proper video for "Doin' It Right" sometime in the future.

Monsieur Adi "What's Going On?" Music Video
Monsieur Adi's "What's Going On" video premiered back in the beginning of the month, but since I am human, I missed it! The Soul II Soul sampling soon to be #1 European smash has all the elements of a fierce 90s inspired video: featured artist A*M*E looking diva-fied in two outfits: a all black number and a bejeweled flesh coloured ensemble, in addtion to writhing glow in the dark dancers in leotards. We even get glimpses of the song's producers in a couple of scenes.

Daft Punk "Lose Yourself To Dance" Music Video
Since 'Get Lucky' was such a success, why not keep it going. It was announced earlier this month that the second Pharrell collaboration on Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories" was getting the single treatment, now we have a music video to support the claims. It looks just like the promotional video for "Get Lucky" but there are other people (club-goers I'm guessing) dancing around the staircase where the group and Nile Rodgers are performing. I still want "Doin' It Right" as a single during the winter, but I can get down to "Lose Yourself To Dance" for now.
Stromae's "Papaoutai" is The Best Foreign Language Tune of The Year
Being caught up the whimsical world of K-Pop has kept my ears preoccupied from songs the other foreign language countries. Belgian singer Stromae has on my to listen list for a while and I just got around to listening to his single "Papaoutai". The song was released in June It starts off with an endearing piano intro, transformed to a slight 90s riff that ultimately fuses with muted military drums, electric guitar and trumpet like synthwork. This is a choreographer's wet dream right here and that is best exhibited in the songs music, where there are krumpers, ballet dancers and contortionists giving some serious life. I'm guessing I'm not the only one who feels this way as the video has over 34 million views on YouTube! I would love if Stromae re-recorded this in English and brought his creepy ass stone faced choreography to the English speaking markets. People are eating up this alt-pop/dance stuff now with Avicii, Lana Del Rey and Lorde charting all over the place. Why can't he get a slice of that pie too?

Phoenix "Entertainment"
Phoenix is releasing an album and they released the first song from the album "Bankrupt!". The song begins with some oriental sounding instrumentation then progresses into typical Phoenix territory, which I'm loving at the moment. "Bankrupt!" will be released April 22nd and will be the band's first studio effort since 2009's Grammy-nominated "Wolfgang Amadeus Phonenix". What do you think of the bands new music?
