Lorde "No Better"

Oops! It looks like someone is beginning to leak Lorde's leftovers. A song by the name of "No Better" hit the web early today in the midst of the overload of music released within the last 24 hours. The song is rumoured to be the first single from a "Pure Heroine" re-release or an outtake from the original sessions. The song is more hip-hop oriented than the stuff we heard on "Pure Heroine". Come and get that smash on the urban charts Ella!!!

Lorde "Team" Music Video

The steam behind Lorde's worldwide smash "Royals" is dying down and the second single "Team" can finally get the shine that it deserves. The New Zealand alt-pop star dropped the video for the single last week, stating that the video was inspired by a dream she had about a future run by teenagers, complete with hierarchy and ruins and all that good stuff. All I know is Lorde better work those cornrows!!!

Lorde "Ribs/Hold My Liquor" (Live)

With her debut album "Pure Heroine" coming so soon, the 16-year old songstress known as Lorde has been doing live performances to reinforce the hype that she has acquired and with this live rendition of her song "Ribs" which is about "getting old and stuff," as she says she's definitely did it for me. But wait! Then, she goes on to cover Kanye West's "Hold My Liquor" afterwards. I don't think the word bitch has ever been sung so lovely. Check the HQ video of the performance below.

Lorde "Tennis Court" Music Video

So this song isn't about gossiping about them gurls you hate at your school's tennis court? That what New Zealander Lorde is stating with the visuals for her second chart-topper, "Tennis Court." The video is rather interesting, with Lorde in dark, gothic makeup looking creepily at the camera, exept when the "yeahs" play and she opens her mouth. For now this is a good video, but I feel when she decides to release this internationally, there going to do another one to appeal to a wider audience.

Lorde "Tennis Court"

A name you should watch out for in the coming months. Sixteen-year-old New Zealander Ella Yelich-O'Connor, also known as Lorde has been making a splash on the indie music scene with her "Love Club" EP. She topped her countries official chart with her song "Royals" with no major label backing and continues to make headway with her critical yet reflective lyrical content and Lana Del Rey-esque delivery. She has released her first official single "Tennis Court" along with a cover of The Replacements' "Swingin' Party." As much as I love her EP (check "Bravado" I beg of you), I hope that she plans on releasing a full-length soon (and sign to distribute internationally). We definitely need an anti-Taylor Swift in pop right now and Lorde seems like she would fit the part.
