Rizzle Kicks "Tell Her" (Official Music Video)

A few weeks ago, Rizzle Kicks debuted their new single "Tell Her" via an Evian ad/promotional video with tennis star Maria Sharapova. Good thing that wasn't the actual video. The duo shared the official visuals for the song today.

Rizzle Kicks "Tell Her"

"Roaring 20's" wasn't the sophomore album that I expected from Rizzle Kicks. It had a few bops, but as whole did nothing for me like "Stereo Typical". "Tell Her", their first non-freebie since "Roaring 20's" dropped last September, is another story.

Rizzle Kicks "Lost Generation" Music Video

Harley and Jordan are the center of attention in the visuals for "Lost Generation". The boys are shown coming from a night out on the town, when their lives are turned into good old reality television in the vein of "Big Brother" and "Britain's Got Talent" for the masses to enjoy! The song is the first single from the duo's soon-to-slay sophomore album, "Roaring 20's," which will hit stores in September.

Graded Song: Rizzle Kicks "Lost Generation"

Rizzle Kicks, the singer/rapper duo from Brighton are prepping for their follow-up to 2011's "Stereo Typical". The boys are known for their early 90s hip-hop sound, but proved that they could get down with the top forty sound, as we saw with the success of "Mama Do The Hump," which peaked at #3 in the charts. "Lost Generation" (which may or may not be a Hemingway reference) is the first single from the album.
Structurally,  "Lost Generation" is just like their debut single, "Down With The Trumpets," but instead of advocating weed smoking, they are tackling more socially conscious topics over a horn filled instrumental. They take shots at the music industry, slut shaming, reality TV among other things. Harley's singing during the chorus "I've got my heart, I've found my soul" don't seem to match with the tone of the song however, making it a bit uneven. The most fun part of the song is when Jordan does the #trend part, then Harley follows up with a very forceful, yet lighthearted "watch yo' mouth son!" "Lost Generation" isn't anything new, but it isn't too old to call it boring, dated or calculated so that's a good thing at least.

Rizzle Kicks "That's Classic" and "Roaring 20's" Cover Art

Rizzle Kicks released visuals for the track, "That's Classic". The song is a teaser from the hip-hop duo's upcoming sophomore album, "Roaring 20's", which they announced via social media last night. I'm glad that they are following the same promotional template as they did with "Stereo Typical", which was one of the most flawless debuts of 2011 to be honest. Instead of just serving us a single, they give us most of the tracks and visuals to go along with them. The album spawned the hit singles "When I Was a Youngster", "Down With The Trumpets" and "Mama Do The Hump", the latter peaking at #3 on the charts.
You can also check the iconic cover art for "Roaring 20's" which will be released September 2nd and available for pre-order now.

Rizzle Kicks "Earl Grey" Music Video

UK rap duo Rizle Kicks give their fans a freebie with "Earl Grey" (like the tea). Harley has a lesser role in this one while Jordan lays down some deep rhymes about being a celebrity, racism, and being judged by society. I hope they maintain this sound and lyricism for their next album, because it suits them a lot and show s how much they've matured since "Down With The Trumpets."
