Romeo "Miro"

2015's male rookie group to beat Romeo has aged another two years (not really) and dropped their official comeback single, as I assume "Nightmare" was fan service.

SHINee "View"

SHINee's back (in Korea). While we didn't have a comeback from the fivesome last year, they were still hard at work with other things, like Taemin's one man tribute to Michael Jackson and their Japanese promotions.

SHINee "Colorful" Music Video

Even though "Miracles in December" by EXO is doing well for SM Entertainment, I guess they want to milk the Christmas cash cow as much as possible.

Graded Song:SHINee "Everybody"

SHINee is on their fourth comeback this year (third official since there was little promo with their re-release of The Misconceptions of Us album). I'm not sure what SM is thinking overworking the guys like this when they have already did so much and EXO is earning them tons of money from their stuff. Still, I was really disappointed with "Why So Serious?" that I listened once or twice and wrote it off. So does "Everybody" do it for me? It has a lot more character than the travesty that was "Why So Serious?" but misses the mark of infectiousness that made "Dream Girl" such an earworm. The chorus seems underdeveloped as all they sing is "Everybody" and a like one other line. Taemin is back to sounding great singing, Minho isn't delegated to a rap and Jonghyun is hitting dem high notes like a pro (like always). The biggest thing is the Key and Onew not having much of a presence on the track. I didn't really remember them at all to be honest.
Final Grade:B
The music video is another set video by SM. The beginning is nightmare inducing, with the Oompa Loompas with masks, the scorpion and skulls, but the rest of the video makes up for that. The dancing is literally what elevates the song from good to really good and I think it's my second favourite K-Pop dance of the year, especially the turntable part during the brostep breakdown and Minho's toy dance.

Graded Song:SHINee "Why So Serious?"

SHINee's back...again for the second time this year. Back in February, they dropped part one of their "Misconceptions" album and promoted it with the Maroon 5-inspired "Dream Girl" and slayed the charts. Now they are back with the second half "Why So Serious?-The Misconceptions of Me" and the respective title track. They decided to continue on without member Jonghyn, who was in a car accident and was recently discharged from the hospital. Underwhelming. Underwhelming. Underwhelming. At least with "Dream Girl", I was able to get into it (and obsess over it) with a few plays. This sounds like it should have been on "Misconceptions" part one as filler rather than the lead from their second half of the album. The beginning melody is misleading. It sounds as if they are setting us up for a awesome rock inspired. Then Taemin begins to sing (oversing if you will). and it falls flat. The sound of the single is very 80s, but not the good sounding 80s like with Sweetune's productions, but generic one-hit wonder 80s. The fact that Jonghyn's vocals are nowhere to be found also gives the song less charisma. The song isn't bad, but I honestly expected more after "Dream Girl".

Graded Song: SHINee's "Dream Girl" + MV

SHINee's back...SHINee's back...and now I'm done. Another unexpected comeback via SM Entertainment. SHINee's who's "Sherlock" mini album spawned the uber successful title track have come back with not one, but TWO full-length album. The first, "Chapter 1. Dream Girl – The Misconceptions of You" came out yesterday while the second one will not be out until April. Along with the nine track album, we also get the title track.

Initially  I was going to dismiss the song as a major disappointment compared to the new jack swing vibe that "Sherlock" gave, which made SHINee sound a lot fresher than their contemporaries. However, after the third listen, I can say that I kind of like the song. It's a lot more Euro-friendly, with the four-on-the-floor progression It definitely is a grower, but could have been polished a bit more. Lower the reverb, clean up some of the vocals towards the beginning. The best part of the song was the rap part and the chorus, which is how I expected the song to sound when I saw the trailer a few days ago. There was also a part in the second verse that reminded me of Super Junior's "Mr.Simple" for some reason. It was a good effort SM, but not your best
Final Grade:C-
The concept for their album is a modern "Alice in Wonderland" (at least that's what neitzens are equivocating it to). I'm definitely liking the new look. There is also a dance MV to go along with it! Enjoy!
