The Saturdays "What About Us" Music Video

If this is how they plan on capturing the attention of US listeners, I need them to go back to square one. The Saturdays have began their US promotions with their E! series, "Chasing The Saturdays" and now released the music video for their hawt, should-have-waited-until-spring/summer) single, "What About Us." The clip is disappointing to say the least. Rebecca Ferguson got away with walking down the streets of California in "Too Good To Lose" because the nature of the song reflected the environment, but because this song gives off a more energetic vibe, I expected the girls to be in full slayage mode, with a fully developed storyline, some decent dancing and a better looking camera filter (Was it filmed via Instagram?). The girls are shown looking great as ever trying on clothes, relaxing by a pool and going to a baseball field to perform some seriously watered down choreography. Get it together ladies, I don't want to see you come out the gate flopping.

Graded Song: The Saturdays "What About Us"

So aside from Little Mix trying to bring back girl back to the States, UK girl group The Saturdays are trying to break into the US with a reality TV show on E! and a brand single featuring chart topping island rapper Sean Paul. "What About Us" is said song, which leaked last week. So...how does it look on the scale?
So it's everything I expected it to be: generic, top forty style electropop that most likely won't see the light of the main Billboard Charts, but will get the gays going in the club. I can also see this being the girls' first #1 in their native country. Sean Paul literally does nothing for the song and the annoying faux-island accent by the girls is not cute. Oh and there is a bit of a dubstep wobble thrown in for good measure. It's catchy, but...
