Taeyeon & Dean "Starlight"

I have a love/hate relationship with Taeyeon. On one hand, I love the fact she has a voice and she sounds amazing on near everything she does. I hate her stans, who act as if her voice is the second coming of Jesus Christ, coupled with the fact we don't hear what she sounds like when she isn't belting those crazy high notes.
The Girls Generation vocal acrobat and trend R&B crooner Dean I hate the 'trend' label they've given him but that's for a different day  come together for "Starlight", a subdued by the numbers R&B/pop number. SM described the song as having a tropical house sound to it , but unless my earphones are broken, I didn't hear any instances of Caribbean influence. Surprisingly, Taeyeon opts out of her upper register for the duration, delivering sultry seductress.  Dean lays it down as well, but Taeyeon is front and center. One qualm: her hair in the M/V reminds me of Taylor Swift's do in the "I Knew You Were Trouble" video. Not the best look for her.
