M.I.A has been AWOL since releasing "Bad Girls", it's slay-worthy video, and the large slew of remixes for the song. With her new album to hit stores sometime in 2013, she has given her fans a taste with "Attention".
M.I.A goes back to the successful "Kala" era with this one, utilizing the vocoder effect that we heard on songs like "20 Dollar" and the super hype Baltimore club music that she was known for back in the day. Again her lyrics are just as spazzy as the music, she seems to like the word tent alot
“Back it up, yeah I'm very blatant Don't try to copy this cause I patent Runnin on the streets causing tentsions”
I wouldn't have a problem if the album sounded like this sonically but lyrically, I'm going to need more from the woman who released "Boyz"
Final Grade-C
