Rita Ora returns.
While she has been making a name for herself in the world of fashion and cosmetics for the last year or so, she has been working on the follow-up to her #1 debut, "ORA". "I Will Never Let You Down", the first single was produced by Rita's boyfriend and Guinness Book of World Records holder Calvin Harris. Calvin swaps the EDM festival ready beats for some Dr.Luke guitar strumming and some bargin bin synth work while Miss Ora does her best impression of the late Whitney Houston circa the 80s. I was expecting more from both Calvin and Rita, since she came out of the gate with a banger of a first single last time ("R.I.P")and Calvin's productions have been top notch to say the least since 2009. The song is very safe, probably to ensure that Rita sells and doesn't suffer from being pigeonholed as a if-it-sticks-artist. I'm guessing that there was no money into making a proper video and just looks like outtakes from one of her shoots. Her Gwen Stefani look-a-like background dancers are everything though.
