"Beating Heart" will be included on the "Divergent" film soundtrack and will be played in a pivotal scene towards the end of the film, describing the main character's sadness and some form of transcendence. The song was written specifically for the film and is the second song from the soundtrack to be released, following Zedd's "Find You".
