Girls Generation's "Mr. Mr"

Remember back in January last year when Girls Generation dropped "I Got A Boy"? The genre-bending 5-in-1 song was a resounding win for K-Pop, which had become stagnate in both sound and image. SM took a big leap of faith with it and the hip-hop aegyo concept and it worked in the favor. It garnered praise worldwide, won them numerous awards including the inaugural video of the year at the YouTube Music Awards, but there were also those who couldn't take the jarring, experimental nature of the song. The Divine Nine have now dropped their fourth mini album and its title track "Mr. Mr."
"Mr.Mr" was produced by The Underdogs (Chris Brown, TVXQ) and is something I would expect from a rookie group from a little known agency. Or maybe back in 2009 when idols could pull off something like this. Most of the song sounds like Tiffany and Jessica were given most of the lines and would work better as an album cut. I don't expect them to re-create "I Got A Boy", but I was expecting something a bit less by-the-books. It's already recieved an all-kill (because it's SNSD), but for a title track from Asia's #1 girl group? Naw...Hoping the video will make this more exciting and Hyoyeon better get a dance solo during that breakdown.
