Sinead Harnett "No Other Way"

Boasting guest appearances on both Disclosure and Rudimental's debut records, Sinead Harnett's soulful vocals could be the next big thing to come from across the pond. The singer will be releasing her EP "N.O.W" in June and the Snakeships produced "No Other Way" is the first cut from the project.

JYP Drops The Ball With 15&'s "Sugar"

I was slowly starting to warm up to JYP Entertainment. His songs from last year (Sunmi's "24 Hours", 2PM's "ADTOY" and Miss A's "Touch") plus Sunmi's "Full Moon", but then GOT7 arrived and I was thrown back into dispondency. While both the girls in 15& have adequate range and vocal talent, "Sugar" suffers from uninspired production and a messy vocal arrangement.

Jiyeon "Never Ever"

News of two T-ARA solo releases from Hyomin and Jiyeon was a shocker to most. While the group has been slowly regaining their popularity, they still aren't at the tier they were before the bullying scandal in 2012. The third of a slew of K-Pop singles produced by Duble Sidekick and released in succession (G.Na's "Pretty Lingerie" and Hyosung's "Goodnight Kiss") Jiyeon's "Never Ever" could easily be shoved in the bin of K-Pop songs that have been major disappointments this year. Another Brave Brothers/SISTAR ripoff...

VIXX "Eternity"

VIXX seems to like their dark concepts because they rarely stray away from it when they make their comebacks, sans last year's feel good summer tune "G.R.8.U", "Rock Ur Body" and to an extent, "Superhero". The boys dropped their "Eternity" single album along with the steampunk-inspired video.

2NE1 "Gotta Be You" Music Video & Dance Version

Pixie Lott "Lay Me Down"

Will this be Pixie's "Love Me Again"? .

Pixie Lott "Girl You Left Behind"

I won't go into the fact that the music consuming public of the UK didn't make Pixie Lott's "Nasty" a #1 smash, but I forgive them (for now). Since then, the "All About Tonight" singer has been teasing her third self-titled LP via promo tracks and freebies, including the gem "Girl You Left Behind".

5 Seconds of Summer "Don't Stop" Music Video

5 Seconds of Summer continues the power pop/punk revival in the mainstream with "Don't Stop".

Hyosung "Good Night Kiss"

Hyosung, member of girl group SECRET does her best Janet Jackson impression on "Good Night Kiss"

Album Review: Lily Allen "Sheezus"

Lily Allen
Sheezus
Regal/Parlophone
Released: May 5th
After the success of 2009's "It's Not Me, It's You", Lily Allen announced that she was stepping away from the musical spotlight.  The singer/songwriter then proceeded to get married, have two kids, a Twitter feud with antagonist extraordinaire Azealia Banks, change her name, change it back then reveal that she was working on album #3, the homage to Kanye West's polarizing "Yeezus" LP.

Album Review: EXO "Overdose"

EXO-K
Overdose
SM Entertainment
Released: May 9th
Thanks to the Korean public, EXO went from just another idol group with some buzz to an actual threat to established K-Pop boybands. Last year's "Wolf" was a daring move by parent company SM Entertainment, which ultimately was overshadowed by Girls Generation's "I Got A Boy" in terms of western buzz. Then the "Growl" re-release came in August and overstayed its welcome way into the end of year ceremony season. " With SM finally making some legitimate bank from the half Korean, half Chinese group, "Overdose" was born. Unfortunately, the only drug that would probably match the album would be Valium or tranquilizers.

Kiss&Cry "Revenge (Bad Girl)"

The girls of Kiss&Cry have yet to be topped with their harmonizing, handclap happy earworm "Domino Game" being one of the best K-Pop songs of the year. Their follow-up single "Revenge" is more soul-pop driven number that still has the girls vocals as the center of attention. The video is a mess though.

Jesse McCartney "Superbad"

Jesse McCartney is trying his hand with the retro R&B sound, as we heard with his single "Back Together". The "She's No You" singer's latest single "Superbad" continues that trend that will make up his "In Technicolor" album.

Michael Jackson "Do You Know Where Your Children Are?"

The 2nd Posthumous MJ album since his untimely death in 2009 "Xscape" is already gaining positive reviews from critics and fans alike ahead of its official release date, probably because it's actually Michael's vocals and Akon is nowhere to be found.

Lana Del Rey "West Coast" Music Video

Lana Del Rey's "West Coast" video hit the internet a bit earlier than expected.

EXO "Overdose" Music Video

I already gave my opinion about "Overdose" when the song first leaked so there's no need to reiterate that's it's pretty basic. The video is finally out after their comeback was postponed due to the Sewol Ferry incident and it does nothing to make the song worth a second listen.
