Graded Song: MFBTY "Sweet Dream"
MFBTY made up of rappers Tiger JK, Tasha (who are married) and fellow musician Bizzy. All three were on Jay Park's debut album, "New Breed" and have been in the business for quite sometime. Now they have unexpectedly release the track "Sweet Dream" and it's subsequent music video. Wanna know how it sounds?
Keep the genre-busting K-Pop coming. While Girls Generation kept it cute with "I Got a Boy's" sweet pop,urban-esque, and dubstep stylings MFBTY's "Sweet Dream" has them beat in terms of cohesiveness, with each section made up of spitfire rhymes, melodic singing, and autotuned spoken word. If Far East Movement had better rapping and this was made in the early 2000s by DJ Sammy, it would have been a worldwide smash. They even added insult to injury by condensing the song into a shorter amount of time than "Boy," showing that they could do it bigger, better, badder and no overtime was needed. Ouch...
Final Grade:A
