LA based singer-songwriter Jillian Banks (known professionally as BANKS) has been hot on the lips of hipsters and fingertips of bloggers since last year, earning her numerous one-to-watch awards, including a placement on BBC's Sound of 2014 poll and a touring spot with Canadian alt-R&B singer The Weeknd.

Paramore Break Records (Including Vinyl) In "Ain't It Fun" Music Video
With Paramore now fully crossed over into the pop landscape with "Still Into You", the album's biggest standout, "Ain't It Fun" is now, after countless delays, getting its time to shine.
Eva Simons Puts Her Own Spin on Martin Garrix's "Animals"
It's been a while since we heard anything Eva Simons. The Dutch songstress is the feature queen, known for lending her strong vocals to Afrojack's "Take Over Control" and will.i.am's #1 hit "This Is Love", but has yet to find any major success as a solo artist, but we won't hold that against her. Any way, a vocal version of Martin Garrix's hit "Animals" has hit the web with featuring Simons.

Ga-In Screams "Fxxk U" In Pre-Release Track
Ga-In is no cookie cutter K-Pop idol. Her videos and songs push the boundaries of the pure, unrealistic image that K-Pop is usually associated with and deals with a lot of other topics like sexual awakening as we saw in "Bloom". The Brown Eyed Girls vocalist now tackles unhealthy relationships with the Bumkey-assisted "Fxxk You".
Zendaya "My Baby" Music Video
Zendaya, the only Disney Channel star that anyone should care about at the moment that isn't Hilary Duff or Demi Lovato, is starting to slowly but surely blow up. With "Replay" finally getting the attention it deserves on pop radio, she has gifted her loyal Z-Swaggers with a video for the closing track of her self-titled debut "My Baby".

Zedd "Find You" (feat. Miriam Bryant & Matthew Koma)
Does Zedd have another hit in his hands? The latest track from the German DJ "Find You" features previous collaborators Matthew Koma ("Spectrum") and Miriam Bryant ("Push Play") and will be part of the movie adaptation of "Divergent" soundtrack. I'm not familiar with the "Divergent" series, but their seems to be some divide between the fans of the book and the fans of Zedd's song, who either love the song, don't think it would fit the series, and that Zedd cheesed up his sound for top forty. It's a subtle duet that suits both artists pipes and since Matthew Koma isn't making many moves with his solo career, it's nice to hear his voice back on a dance track and none of that frothy pop stuff.

Disclosure Recruits R&B Legend Mary J. Blige For "F For You" Remix
Queen of R&B Soul Mary J. Blige seem to be "Just Fine" with Disclosure, since she went ahead and did a song with them.

Brave Brothers & 4Minute "Only Gained Weight"
K-Pop artists aren't the only ones celebrating 10 years in the game! One of the most well-known producers in the industry Brave Brothers (SISTAR, Son Dam Bi, Jay Park) is planning a special album to mark his decade and he's recruited some of the many idols he's made hits for.
David Guetta "Shot Me Down" (feat. Skylar Grey)
David Guetta must be feeling the squeeze now. Now that generic dance music has been more or less put to the side in the mainstream, the DJ superstar has to find another way to get his coins when he isn't at these big music festivals.

Example Continues To Disappoint With "Kids Again"
I'm starting to think that Example is losing his musical mojo. 2011's "Playing In The Shadows" and 2012's "The Evolution of Man" were phenomenal records, with the latter being criminally underrated by the public and not given the proper single releases.
Rainbow Blaxx Are Pushing Sexy Mature in "Cha Cha", Though Everyone Else Has Done It This Year...
Rainbow is another one of those groups (like Miss A) who put out music that I don't care too much about because everyone has already done it and done it better. But unlike Miss A, Rainbow isn't limited by productions by a certain label head and I've been waiting for a good song from the girls since their Kara copy cat single "A". I'm guessing DSP (who are dealing with the restructuring of K-Pop darlings Kara since Nicole and Jiyoung aren't renewing their contracts), they needed something to get the public talking about something non-Kara related, so the Rainbow Blaxx subunit was born.

Danity Kane "Bye Baby"
Danity Kane's comeback has been more of a . They had a House of Blues show in December that received rave reviews and they been pretty quiet about actually releasing any new material, until now.
AOA "Mini Skirt"
I thought AOA was a band and idol group? We got that with their first two singles "Elvis" and "Get Out" on top of the normal idol shtick. "Moya" was a sub-unit single and was pretty catchy, then they went to the Sistar knockoff route with "Confused". It would be safe to assume that they would do another AOA Black single instead of leaving poor Youkyoung in the basement somewhere but nope, FNC wanted to push the other seven so they opted for a idol comeback.

Topp Dogg "Open The Door"
Topp Dogg were introduced last year with their hip-hop/complextro song "Follow Me" and the formula hasn't changed for their latest comeback track "Open The Door".
Pixie Lott "Nasty" Music Video
Pixie Lott! What would your mum say? The singer's music video for her soon-to-be #1 hit "Nasty" has hit the net ahead of its March 4th single release. We see Pixie channeling Christina Aguilera during her "Stripped" period (minus the wild hair and assless chaps) getting naughty in a club for a guy by grinding, gyrating and hair whipping him into submission. I expected more choreography from Pixie, especially since the preview leaked in November showed her strutting and looking all kinds of fierce during the outside scene. But since the song is called "Nasty", I guess she wanted to convey the theme as best as she could.

Sam Smith "Money On My Mind" Music Video & "Make It To Me"
Sam Smith is starting of 2014 right! He's already won the BRITs Critics Choice Award and topped BBCs Sound of 2014 poll and now the crooner's video for his single is here.
Lily Allen "Air Balloon"
After last year's comeback and subsequent smashing with her singles "Hard Out Here" and cover of Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know", Lily Allen is continuing the slay train into 2014.
Shakira "Can't Remember To Forget You" (feat. Rihanna)
Shakira is finally back on the music scene after an unexpected hiatus. The rumoured single "Truth or Dare" was supposed to be released last year, but Shaki was busy being a mom and re-re-recording her upcoming album. She has paired up with hitmaker Rihanna (most likely to latch on to her Navy fanbase and get Shakira a chart hit).

Neon Trees "Sleeping With A Friend"
With two successful singles to their name to date and their third LP "Pop Psychology" coming in April, Neon Trees have debuted their brand new single, "Sleeping With A Friend".
B1A4 Just Can't Let It Go In Their "Lonely" Comeback
I was waiting for the day that B1A4 went back to more melancholic tunes like "Tried To Walk". I mean, their cute aegyo songs are nice too, but the group really know how to capture deeper emotions with their songs when they are allowed to. That's why "Lonely" may arguably be the best song.

Graded Song:Pixie Lott "Nasty"
After last night's live debut of "Nasty" at the BRIT Awards Nomination show, Pixie Lott has premiered the studio version of the tune (of course tagged to death by Capital.FM) today. So is it just as 'nasty' as the live version?

Pixie Lott Performs Her Future #1 Smash "Nasty" For The First Time...
After footage of a comeback single surfaced in November and constant, merciless teasing for almost two pain-filled months, Miss Pixie Lott finally debuted "Nasty", the UK's fastest selling single of 2014* at the 2014 BRIT Awards Nomination Ceremony.

Review: TVXQ! '"Tense"
TVXQ!
Tense
S.M Entertainmet
Released: January 6th 2013
S.M Entertainment towers above most K-Pop companies: not only do they have artists that the public seem to adore, but also seem to have acts that can maintain some type of intrigue and freshness. BoA is on her fourteenth year in the business, Super Junior's 9th is this year and TVXQ!, through their previous internal struggles with their parent company, is turning ten years old.

King Krule "A Lizard State" Music Video
While it remains one of the best albums released last year, King Krule hasn't received much recognition for "6 Feet Beneath The Moon". That isn't gonna stop him from releasing videos though!
Chromeo "Come Alive" (feat. Toro y Moi)
Dal Shabet Inspired by T-ARA, 80s and High Fashion for "B.B.B"
Last summer, Dal Shabet was telling the boys to be ambitious and admire their legs. Now they're calling their sutiors big babies!

The Male Crayon Pop? K-Much
Crayon Pop's "Bar Bar Bar" was one of the more surprising K-Pop songs to grace the charts last year. The helmets, pogo stick dance and cherry cheerleader like chants made it all the rage and should of had the crossover power of PSY's "Gangnam Style", but didn't. Now it seems as if Chrome Entertainment is sharing the wealth with the other acts on their roster. Cue K-Much, the male counterparts of Crayon Pop.
St.319 Cover Troublemaker's "Now"
Vietnamese dance troupe St.319 are the undisputed champions of K-Pop dance covers. You can't tell me any different. Show me somehow who has the precision, attention to detail and energy that they have and I'll retract my statement.

Ailee's "Singing Got Better" Sounds Good, But Doesn't Set Her Apart...
While Ailee has (so far) made her career from making carbon copies of American pop tunes (Heaven/Halo), (Hush, Hush/I Will Show You) (Crazy In Love/You & I), we have yet to hear anything that would make you go "HEY! That's an Ailee song!"

DROP IT! Girls Day "Something"
The new it girls of K-Pop are back for their annual wig donation. The foursome known as Girls Day handed every K-Pop act their retirement papers last year with the uber-catchy "Expecation" and the iconic suspender/butt dance. Now that the girls are kind of established, it's time for a new concept for a new year!

Review:Yong Junhyng "Flower" Mini Album
Flower
Cube Entertainmet
December 13, 2013
Yong Junhyng may be known for his clean and concise rapping skills, but his composing skills seem to go under the radar. He produced his entire BEAST band mate Yoseob’s “The First Collage” mini in 2012 and scored an all-kill with “Will You Be Okay?” for the group last year. It was a matter of time before he would be focusing his talents on his solo debut.
Homework:Can B.A.P Get A Break?
It was announced yesterday that B.A.P would be making a comeback in the new year. With this I scratched my head in much confusion. I do enjoy new B.A.P but I assumed that B.A.P would be getting the lie low and build up anticipation treatment while TS Entertainment focused on one of their other acts, or at least debut a new one like everyone else is doing.
Rain Makes The Panties Drop In "30Sexy", Causes Controversy With "La Song"
Rain finished his mandatory military service late last year and began plotting a comeback. He signed with Cube Entertainment (4Minute, BEAST) and wasted no time announcing that his next album "Rain Effect" would be released in early 2014. Now we have two videos for two cuts from the LP: "30Sexy" and "La Song".

HOT K-POP 2013 DJ Masa x SHIMMixes
Last year, I stumbled upon two mega mixes of K-Pop songs. One by DJ Masa of Brazil and one by SHIMMixes of the Phillipines. This year, both of them decided to collaborate and release one mix!!!
TVXQ Make The First Comeback of 2013 With "Something"
IU is making it work for her with her "Modern Times" album, so why can't they right? Changmin and Yunho (better known as TVXQ) are commemorating ten years in the industry and what says commemoration better than a new album and the first comeback of the new year?
