AOA "Mini Skirt"

I thought AOA was a band and idol group? We got that with their first two singles "Elvis" and "Get Out" on top of the normal idol shtick. "Moya" was a sub-unit single and was pretty catchy, then they went to the Sistar knockoff route with "Confused". It would be safe to assume that they would do another AOA Black single instead of leaving poor Youkyoung in the basement somewhere but nope, FNC wanted to push the other seven so they opted for a idol comeback.
The song "Miniskirt" is snare drum, organ driven tune with a hint of jazz courtesy of who else? Brave Brothers! Raptress Jimin has her rapping significantly cut compared to the groups other songs, which is disappointing since her raps are usually the highlight. Sonically, it's an interesting song, but it's more of a grower rather than a shower. The video shows the group exploring the sexy yet mature concept that the girls took on for "Confused", with the girls borrowing heavily from groups such as Girls Day, Nine Muses, Dal Shabet ("Expectation" and "Be Ambitious" and "Gun" respectively). The outfits are more form fitting, the scenes in the video are more suggestive and the dancing is more of the same old same old: a leg reveal here, a butt dance there.
